The Cathedral of the Grey Saint has stood in Vatira since the first years after the Fissure. We keep the old observances, we tend the Saints’ Register, and we hold the Long Vigil each year as our grandmothers did before us. The doors are never locked during daylight bells. This page is kept by the Office of the Parish Register, that those at a distance may know our times and our news. — the Keeper of the Register

The Wheel of the Holy Year

On the Reading of All the Sanctified, count the names read aloud. Then count again next year. The number does not behave.
The cathedral fills the whole year with feasts and fasts, so no season passes without remembrance of the Saints and the Root. The faithful are bound to keep the days of obligation. The vigils are nights of fasting before a feast.
